DALLAS - The high court docket will permit a wrongful loss of life lawsuit to proceed in opposition to town of Dallas and four cops.

The household of a person who died in police custody in 2016 sued.

Tony Timpa referred to as police for assist as he had a drug and mental well being disaster.

The city of Dallas argued the officers are legally protected from lawsuits.

The Supreme Court docket upheld a federal appeals court docket’s ruling that will allow the case to proceed.
