EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 occasions the authorized alcohol restrict after not less than 5 folks called 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Major Avenue exit. They are saying the crash triggered a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver saved going.
Different callers say the driving force was all around the road and now lacking a front tire.
They are saying he ultimately stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Workers told police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to sell his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell a number of times. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath check.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through several charges.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
