Speaking in the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I do not plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I really feel better concerning the route of our nation."
In a weblog post, Kapler questioned whether or not the nation's management is committed to representing its individuals's best pursuits and whether or not the US is really "the land of the free and the home of the brave.""We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he referred to as "the lack of delivery of the promise of what our national anthem represents."
"I am not okay with the state of this country. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I could have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that when you're dissatisfied together with your country, you let it's recognized via protest. The home of the courageous should encourage this."
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion in opposition to gun violence in the USA.Kerr refused to talk about basketball forward of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' sequence in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed against gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.
