LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC/Grey Information) - An incident that involved players from a university’s lacrosse workforce and deputies in Georgia remains beneath investigation.

WTOC studies Delaware State University President Tony Allen released a statement on Monday responding to the incident that reportedly occurred on April 20 in Liberty County.

Allen wrote Georgia legislation enforcement stopped a bus for a minor traffic violation with the Delaware State Lacrosse group on board. Deputies searched the belongings of the student-athletes, including suitcases with drug-sniffing canine.

Allen also added the following:

“We don't intend to let this or some other incident like it go idly by. We're prepared to go wherever the proof leads us. We now have video. We've got allies. Perhaps more considerably, now we have the courage of our convictions.”

Allen concluded his assertion by writing, “We are going to by no means be bullied into believing anything apart from what we are: People, learners, academics, builders—helpful and honorable individuals ready to soar.”
