Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with a number of different agencies in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
