Wisconsin man celebrates 50 years of consuming Large Macs on daily basis

MILWAUKEE (Spectrum Information Milwaukee) - Don Gorske’s Huge Mac streak started on Could 17, 1972.

“I’ve only missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal. And like I say, I rely every Huge Mac. I’ve counted every Big Mac I’ve eaten my complete life,” Gorske mentioned.

Gorske eats two Huge Macs a day.

“All via life right here, a lot of people stated, ‘You’ll be dead earlier than you reach 50 years of eating Big Macs.’ I assume I proved them incorrect,” he mentioned.

His son will not be stunned at his father’s persistence.

“We always went to McDonald’s with my dad and had glad meals. I all the time loved my hen nuggets, and my brother always cherished his hamburgers. It’s how we grew up. It’s just an everyday life type of factor for us,” he said.

Gorske’s son has more of a diverse diet.

“I used to eat hen nuggets each day. I used to eat cheeseburgers day by day, however finally you just get sick of it. I don’t understand how he does it, but he actually does,” he mentioned.

Gorske says he'll proceed eating Huge Macs with a Coca-Cola on the facet until he dies.

“Loads of times people will say, ‘You appear to be I’m consuming a Large Mac for the first time,’” Gorske stated. “I guess that’s how I feel generally. They’re that good to me, and there’s really nothing else I’d reasonably eat,” he mentioned.
