The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Unbiased School District police drive are now not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Safety's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College and the state's overview of the law enforcement response, a number of legislation enforcement sources tell ABC News.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent Faculty District did not immediately reply to requests for comment from ABC Information.

According to sources, the decision to stop cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news conference Friday throughout which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the flawed choice" and contrary to protocol.
