Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with a number of other companies in an try to find him.
The teenager was found near the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old may very well be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
