Lakpa Sherpa and several different climbers took advantage of favorable weather to achieve the 8,849-meter (29,032-foot) summit early within the morning, her brother and expedition organizer Mingma Gelu stated. He said she was in good well being and was safely descending from the peak.
Sherpa, 48, never received a chance to get a proper education because she had to start earning a dwelling by carrying climbing gear and provides for trekkers.
