New York sex worker Angelina Barini sentenced to 30 years for fatally drugging 4 men

Between July and August 2019, intercourse employee Angelina Barini met along with her purchasers at motels in New York City before giving them harmful doses of drugs that incapacitated them. Then, she would rob the men and go away with their private belongings.

4 of them, together with a prominent Italian chef, died of overdoses from the medicine, court information state.

In August, Barini pleaded responsible to distributing medicine that killed her purchasers, together with fentanyl and gamma-butyrolactone, known for causing irrational conduct, extreme sickness, coma and loss of life.

Last week, a judge sentenced the 43-year-old Barini to 30 years in prison.

“The defendant drugged and killed multiple people for a few fast dollars,” Breon Peace, the U.S. lawyer for the Eastern District of New York, mentioned in a news launch. “She stole their personal belongings whereas they lay unconscious dying from the deadly medicine she gave them.”

Barini met her first sufferer at a motel in Astoria, Queens, on July 4, 2019. There, she gave the person fentanyl-laced drugs and left the room. Police discovered him dead hours later, courtroom records state.

A week later, on July 11, Barini had an encounter with one other man at a motel in Woodside, Queens, the place she gave him fentanyl-laced medication. The man also died of a drug overdose, a complaint states.

The following month, on Aug. 5, Barini met her third victim in School Point, Queens, and again gave him fentanyl-laced drugs that led to a fatal overdose, prosecutors stated.

Later that month, on Aug. 18, Barini met her last recognized sufferer, Andrea Zamperoni — a chef for the high-end restaurant chain Cipriani — inside an Elmhurst, Queens, motel room, the place she drugged him with gamma-butyrolactone, commonly referred to as a “date rape” drug. The man died shortly afterward.

That day, court records state, Barini repeatedly tried to get rid of the sufferer’s physique. Barini wrapped Zamperoni’s body in bleach-stained sheets and positioned it inside a trash bin, in accordance with prosecutors. Zamperoni was reported missing on Aug. 21, prosecutors said. That same day, the New York City Police Department discovered the person’s body in the motel room.

Based on court information, when authorities knocked on the room’s door, Barini opened and swiftly shut it. As soon as investigators made it into the room, they observed a robust odor — that of a decomposing body and burning incense, the criticism states.

Barini informed investigators that “she did not do it,” but in addition that her “pimp” made her do it. Inside the motel room, authorities discovered several gadgets, including a bank card belonging to Zamperoni and a glass pipe used to smoke medicine, court docket information state.

When authorities later interrogated her, Barini stated Zamperoni had agreed to pay her for sex. When she wakened, Barini stated, he was unresponsive and bleeding from the nostril and mouth. Her pimp, she added, would not let her call the police.

Fernando Dallorso, the overall supervisor of Cipriani in New York, advised the New York Times that Zamperoni was a “dedicated hard worker” who cooked six days every week and “by no means missed a day of labor.”

The kitchen workers mourned the loss, Dallorso told the Times.

“Everybody in the kitchen proper now is heartbroken, from the dishwasher to the chef,” Dallorso said.
