thx. Dr Berg, that was very helpful.
Please help I’ve got a trigger thumb, according to two doctors there is nothing you can do,eventually it will go on its own, went to physiotherapist the same he just was not interested do you think you could possibly help me.? Thanks 🙏
Well that is amazing! I injured my ankle when I was in Primary School was piggy backing another girl on my back and my foot rolled and badly sprained my ankle, could not walk on it for a week or more. So happens I have a bunion on that foot and I tend to walk on the inside of my foot. I take magnesium morning and night and have been for sometime. Now that I know about doing these exercises I will do them regularly. Also I do think I have fallen aches too especially on the right foot. Now nearly 70 this year I am always carefully wearing well spaced shoes around the toes so they can spread without squeezing them. Never been able to wear high heeled shoes back when I was in my 20's I did but as time went on felt my ankle would give way at times and have sprained it another two times plus the left one also.
I'm a podiatrist and half of the things Dr. Berg mentioned here are incorrect/misconceptions about bunions.
Very useful information, Dr Sahib. THANKS a lot
I have a electric recliner chair and often I've been making circles with me feet when leaning back, didn't realise what I was doing. It feels great doing it. 🤔
Thank you, Dr Berg.
Does wearing arches help also? TY…sounds like alot of work but maybe worth it? Any testimonies?
There can be a genetic component to bunions also.
Thank you as always.
Dr Berg, this thing started to grow on my feet, I stayed 2 months on a farm and I started walking with no shooes on my feet, so I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ANYMORE, IT DESAPIER… my feet are so beautiful again.

Could this bunions happened on another toes? I think i got one on my lil toes, had been questioning about that for bout 2 months. I did massage it when it first appeared, but it became more swollen so i stopped. After that i didn't do anything to the toes, but i always do light exercise every day, and somehow it shrunked. Still there but much smaller n didn't cause pain anymore..
Hmmm. A bit more than just 3 steps here. Am I to understand that all of this will actually get rid of my bunion or is it just to stop it gettering worse.
Do you have any recommendations on pigeon toed & hip rotation causing pigeon toe.
I used to have painful bunions, my mum had them, my gran had them, so my doctor told me they were genetic and I needed surgery. We know enough about genetics (look up epigenetics) to know that's BS and I didn't want surgery, so I did my own research. Fast forward 5 years, I have zero bunion pain, no bunion on one foot and a greatly reduced bunion on my worst foot. So what did I do? I used my feet how they're designed to be used. I bought vibram five finger shoes and wore them every day for 5 to 10km. (At first I had to force my big toes into them and I wore the inside of the toe pockets in the first few pairs until my feet realigned!). I did ankle, toe and foot exercises every day whilst on the computer. I massaged my feet daily with a golf ball (a tennis ball couldn't get deep enough) until my feet became strong but flexible. My foot realigned itself, my ankles and arches got strong enough to stop collapsing inwards and my feet, no longer encased in foot coffins (shoes) are doing what they're designed to do. Bunion surgery, like so many allopathic recommendations, hides symptoms but doesn't change the underlying problem.
I am having this problem…
👍👌🇨🇦❤
Weird! I have hallux valgus on both of my feet and I had them already when I was 18 years old. I have not had any of the conditions, like wrong shoes, etc everything he counted down as a cause and they don't hurt but are just there. No changes over the years and I am now 59. I just don t understand what mine are caused by. Could it be arthritic deformation or uric acid accumulation or some bone malformation?
Thank you!!!♥️🙏
Thank you Dr. Berg, excellent information. Thank you, thank you..
I usually agree with you, but this time not. Hallux valgus is not caused by shoes or how you walk. It's hereditary.
Hello Dr. Berg, I wanted to ask have you heard about Christopher McDougall's book and TED talk on YouTube called "Born to Run" ? Have you heard about the shoe companies Xero Shoes and Vivobarefoot? These all recommend what you are saying that our human feet have to flex and be able to expand when walking especially in the toe area. If not, the chances of things happening like bunions and plantar fasciitis can increase. Xero Shoes and Vivobarefoot offer wide fitting shoes with "zero soles" which keep the foot from being narrowed and lifted into a position which can cause pain over time. Just wondering if you have seen these : ) I think you would find Chris McDougall's talks on YouTube interesting because from what I have learned shoes play a large part in knee and heel pain. I have lost 45 pounds with eating low-carb and making my best attempt at intermittnet fasting and tell all my friends about you because my friends are middle-aged and suffering from a host of ills like obesity, cancer, and metabolic syndrome.
I'm so happy to see this. My doctor just told me to get surgery on my bunions now since they are not bad yet. Doing research that sounds like a bad idea.
Flat feet…its very small, sometimes pain if I wear my going shoes… I've been looking after it for years. It's not noticeable but it's there. Doc says yrs ago it's only in beginning stages. So I look after my feet like a baby. I'll try these exercises too and I use orthotics in my trainers
I wonder IF Dr Berg has heard of this one: My daughter was BORN with bunions! I took her to the foot doctor and he said he never saw such a young person with bunions before! Hers are pretty bad. Was BORN that way.
I had bunion surgery one year ago. I still have numbness in top of my big toe. Took me about 10 months to walk normally again. I doubt I will get me other foot done.
