Speaking within the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I do not plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead until I really feel better about the route of our country."

I wish that I could have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let or not it's identified by means of protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action towards gun violence in the US.Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed towards gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.
"Within the final 10 days, we've had aged Black individuals killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have youngsters murdered in school," Kerr instructed reporters in the beginning of the press conference.
"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I'm so bored with getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households which are on the market ... I am tired of the moments of silence. Sufficient."
