Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of the alleged gang members who opened fire in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an apartment advanced, the Sacramento Police Department said in an announcement Saturday night.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Division labored with our detectives for weeks in an effort to locate Payton,” the statement mentioned.

It wasn’t known Sunday if Payton has an legal professional who could speak on his behalf.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, were charged this month with murder within the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.
