Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to promote damaged automobile with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol restrict after at the least 5 people known as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Principal Avenue exit. They are saying the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver saved going.

Different callers say the motive force was all over the highway and now lacking a front tire.

They are saying he ultimately stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Employees advised police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing a number of fees.

He is the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
