Bordentown, NJ police chief sprawled in road during DWI arrest

HAMILTON (Mercer) — A police chief from Burlington County now dealing with DWI expenses in Mercer County was lying down within the street behind his pickup truck, keys and mobile phone strewn close by — as seen in body digital camera footage from the April arrest.

The video reveals what occurred after police caught up with Bordentown Police Chief Brian Pesce, who was been charged with crashing his car and fleeing the scene earlier within the night.

The truck’s driver-side door was flung open as Hamilton law enforcement officials arrived on April 22 to see Bordentown Police Chief Brian Pesce, lying on his left aspect near the curb behind his Chevy Silverado.

Pesce has been on restricted obligation till further discover pending investigation results as he faces fees for 5 site visitors offenses.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “Nobody was driving.”

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
