Because the Covid scenario has improved, several companies have already called their employees to office, ending the work from home (WFH).

Nonetheless, it appears some staff need to earn a living from home additional. Not too long ago, a whole bunch of workers have resigned when a company asked them to come back to the workplace.

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr workers have resigned from the kids on-line coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being requested to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its staff to return to office within a month’s time, based on an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company announced the coverage to finish do business from home and asked distant employees to return to office by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time staff of the gross sales, coding, and math groups. Extra employees are anticipated to put down their papers within the coming months.

One of the workers who resigned told the website that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have children, some have aged and sick parents, while others produce other responsibilities. It is not right to name again workers in such a short time frame,” the former WhiteHat Jr worker mentioned.

Another employee said salaries also factored in the decision to not return to the office. At the time of hiring, workers were told about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has places of work in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Nevertheless, after working from dwelling for two years, workers believed that their salaries must be revised to mirror the price of dwelling in expensive cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former worker remarked.
